I collect weird pieces all year round -- mostly from estate sales and garage sales. You are right -- I often find that one item that sort of inspires the whole box. Then all the smaller pieces and images sort of fill around that piece.

What I would like to know is whether the pieces you use in your sculptures are just years' accumulation or if you plan out each piece. I could see myself doing works like this. I would probably work around a single item to create the motif. Great work!
